Help us as we support literacy through our little lending libraries.  Your book donations are always needed.

Completed Projects:
Meal Project - December 2020
While working remotely due to COVID-19, we were still able to complete our meal project.  Our foster youth decorated and filled 150 lunch bags for our local homeless population.  We are pleased to partner with Family Assistance Program of San Bernardino who distributes our lunches to those in need.

Be a Game Changer 2018
With your help, we were able to send 25+ foster youth to a hockey game in December.  What fun it was to see them just being kids!

Fall 2018 - Tie Drive for Foster Youth
Thank you Victorville Motors for your generous donation.  We purchased ties and other items for the foster youth attending the Expanding Horizons - The Next Chapter college and career fair held at the University of Redlands in September.  We also thank the University of Redlands Basketball Team for coming out to show our youth how to tie their new ties.

Spring 2018 - School Supply Drive
We delivered notebooks and supplies to Lugonia, Franklin, and Victoria Elementary Schools.  Thank you Caryl Forristall, Candy Glendening, and Redlands United Church of Christ for helping to make this happen.

Meal Project - November/December 2017
Once again we complete our meal project with lunches for the homeless done up in bags decorated by the foster youth.  Stsquared.org is also raised funds for sporting equipment for the foster youth.  We gave away 45 basketballs/soccer balls - one for every kids we serve along with 250 lunches!

Little Lending Libraries
With special funding, we have built, painted, and installed our 4th little lending library on the north side of Redlands. This library was installed on October 8, 2017 at Franklin Elementary School.  This additional library completes our coverage at our three target elementary schools: Lugonia, Victoria, and Franklin. We also have a library at a private home on the north side.  We also have a library installed at San Bernardino County School Office - Vision 2 Read program.  We are always looking for donations of children's books.

School Supply Drive 
We completed our school supply drive in early August. We supplied 4 Inland Empire foster boys with individual sets of supplies.  We also purchased composition notebooks for every student at Lugonia.  We bought spiral-bound notebooks for the children at Victoria and Franklin Elementary Schools. Lastly, we filled 10 donated backpacks with supplies.  These backpacks were given away to foster and homeless youth at the Expanding Horizons college and career fair, University of Redlands, on September 30. 

Feed Your Brain 
On April 13, 2017, we hosted our Feed Your Brain healthy meal cooking demonstration/book event at Franklin Elementary School.  This was our
5th Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation award.  Each child went home with food items, books, a jump rope, and the California Department of Health - Champions for Change program cookbook. ​

Power To The Period 
​Our first campaign of 2017: Power To The Period ​allowed us to deliver more than 120 period packs to Joseph's Storehouse. Joseph's serves approximately 20 homeless woman each weekday (the number goes up each Friday as Joseph's is closed on the weekend).

Power of You 2016
​
We raised more that our goal of $1,000! We delivered lunches to Joseph's Storehouse and we helped get 45 foster youth to the California Science Center.  The additional funds raised have been earmarked for our Power To The Period campaign.

​Feed Your Brain
On November 14, we hosted our first Feed Your Brain event at Victoria Elementary School.  We worked with 60+ kids, grades 2-5.  We gave away new books (which were read aloud by University of Redlands students) to each kid and we taught them how to make home-made stovetop mac and cheese.  The kids went home with some of the ingredients to make this dish with their families.  On November 30, we completed this project by working with 35+ kids at Lugonia Elementary School.  We are thankful for the financial help from Sodexo's Stop Hunger campaign and Redlands United Church of Christ.

What a Difference $1 Makes - School Supply Drive 2016

In August, 2016, Stsquared.org reached exceeded its goal of $1,000 by delivering over $1,000 in donated supplies to our three most in-need schools: Franklin, Lugonia, and Victoria Elementary Schools (all located on the north side of Redlands).   The What a Difference a $1 Makes campaign unites employees from the University of Redlands with members of the community to ensure that students at three local elementary schools have all the necessary supplies.

​Little Lending Libraries
​We have now installed all four of our little lending libraries.  There is one at the Building a Generation office on the Lugonia Elementary School Campus, one is located at a private home on the north side of Redlands; one is located at Victoria Elementary School, and one is installed at the San Bernardino County School Office - Vision 2 Read program.


​Family Fun Night - April 2016
Family Fun Night was held on April 13, 2016 at the north Redlands Boys & Girls Club.  We served more than 100 kids and adults.  We also gave away books and food.

Professional Clothing Drive
On July 6, 2015, Share Today Shape Tomorrow delivered several boxes of ready-to-work professional attire to the Blessing Center - Joseph's Storehouse.  This local charity gives all items out free-of-charge.

April 8, 2015 - Family Fun Night

Share Today Shape Tomorrow partnered with Sodexo and the Boys & Girls Club of north Redlands to serve a community meal.  We made vegetable soup using the University of Redlands InStove.  Peanut butter/jelly sandwiches, fruit vegetables, a decorate your own cookie station,lots of kid activities and a book and food give away table rounded out night. It was a raging success with 75-100 people feed!

Book Drive - March 2015
We completed a book drive in March with over 400 book donated to Lugonia Elementary School, Micah House, and a Little Lending Library in San Bernardino.  All of these books came from Redlands United Church of Christ.

Completed: Shampoo/Soap Refill Station, December 2014

With funds raised, Share Today Shape Tomorrow built and installed a shampoo/soap refill station at the Blessing Center.  Shown here is Dr. Turley giving it a try. 

We have since moved this refill station to the Building a Generation - Family Resource Center. 

Enough shampoo and soap has been purchased to keep this stations filled for the next six months.

Completed: Joseph's Storehouse Meal Project - November/December 2014
Share Today Shape Tomorrow partnered with Joseph's Storehouse to bring meals to individuals and families in need. 

We reached our goal with more than $2,000 raised! 250 individual meals and 25 family food bags were delivered to Joseph's Storehouse on December 7, 2014.

Completed: Book drive benefiting Franklin Elementary, Lugonia Elementary, Victoria Elementary, Micah House, Boys and Girls Club of North Redlands, a Little Lending Library in San Bernardino, and several foster care group homes.  End date: October 26, 2014.

In total, close to 800 books were collected.  Share Today Shape Tomorrow received books from staff and faculty from the Uniersity of Redlands, as well as from members of Solid Ground Christian Fellowship.  In addition, 135 new books were received from First Book's donation of 40,000 books to the County of San Bernardino. 

All books were cleaned, sorted, labeled, and boxed for delivery.

_Completed: What a Difference a $1 Makes - Providing young students in Redlands with necessary school supplies- July/August  2014
Through the "What a Difference a $1 Makes" drive, students and employees from the University of Redlands, along with our wider community of givers, are working to ensure that students at three Redlands elementary schools have what they need to start the school year off right.  As the donation boxes fill, Lugonia, Franklin, and  Victoria (schools that demonstrate a high need given the number of  children on free/reduced lunch programs) will receive the supplies. 

Final count of items delivered: Nine boxes in supplies, cases of spiral-bond notebooks, and $65.00 in Target gift  cards. Value of donations: $1,008.02.

Joseph's Storehouse shoe and personal hygiene product  drive
This project was completed April  30, 2014 (look for the Joseph's Storehouse meal project beginning late November). 

Final count of items delivered: 28 toothbrushes,  18 tubes of toothpaste, 20 first aid kits, 40 razors, 33 deodorants, 10 bottles of shampoos, 5 conditioners, 5 lotions, 5 shaving creams,  35 packs of wipes, various numbers of nail clippers, combs, q-tips, various clothing items, and 10 pairs of shoes.  Thank you contributors: Barbara Murray, Candy Glendening, Iyan Sandri, and Donna Walker.
